July 11th, 2012, Chris Weidman stepped into a UFC octagon facing an opponent that was vastly rising up the middleweight rankings in Mark Munoz.  Weidman showed why he should be on everyone's radar in the middleweight division with an impressive stoppage of Munoz in the second round.  However, one radar Weidman shouldn't be on is the pound for pound greatest fighter to ever walk God's green earth - Anderson Silva.  With reports spiraling that Weidman is next in line to challenge for Silva's coveted title, I can't help but think, have people forgotten that the UFC has signed former Bellator Champion and 31-2 - Hector Lombard?  Weidman has recently been quoted as saying that the UFC, Joe Silva and all, want Weidman to fight Anderson Silva but Weidman questions if Silva will take the fight.  Are you serious?  Attention: Chris Weidman, your great and you have more talent in your toes then most middleweights have in their whole body but you ain't even close to being worthy of contending for Anderson Silva's championship belt.  And for the record, you barely beat Damian Maia and some would say you lost that fight back in January with Maia.  But also to be clear, I believe Chris Weidman will be Champion one day, just not while Anderson Silva is still an active MMA fighter.

This is whats going to happen; Hector Lombard is going to knock Tim Boetsch's head into the parking lot at this weekend's UFC 149 in Calgary, Aberta and instantly get a title shot.  That's whats gonna happen, that's would should happen, and some lucky fan is going to be able to pick up Tim Boetsch's head in the parking lot and put it in his Marlyn's Memoirs scrapbook.  Let's forget about Chael Sonnen, let's allow Weidman to truly earn his title shot and fight a few more contenders such as Vitor Belfort, let's get excited about Brian Stann vs. Michael Bisping, lets stop talking about a Jones vs. Silva super-fight, and let's see who the lucky fan is who catches Tim Boetsch's flying head!  Now look at the photo of Hector Lombard that is attached with this blog and "Holla if ya hear me?"
